Aren’t UV-C products dangerous? How do you recommend using your products safely?
Using our sterilizer is very simple. Here are our best practices and safety protocols.

During use, do not touch the body of the lamp or have direct contact with the UV-C light on skin, animals, or living organisms. Our product has a built-in shutoff feature if its tilted more than 50 degrees. This is to prevent accidentally exposure to unintended surfaces, such as; eyes, paintings, skin, etc.

Will your UV-C rays damage paintings or other fabric materials?
UV-A, UV-B, and UV-C are all emitted from the sun but UV-C doesn’t make it through the atmosphere. Therefore the typical UV damage from the sun is UV-A type rays or UV-B type rays. UV-C type rays are usually only found in man-made devices and it's been dubbed the germicidal wavelength because it disrupts the RNA and DNA of bacteria, viruses, germs etc. and this is where it's the most effective.

That said a lot of materials place in constant UV-C type exposure will be affected. But this is a gradual effect over a very long and continuous exposure. Because our sterilizer is quick; 1 minute per use, it will take over a very long period of time, so its something you shouldn't be too worry about. But UV-C light does fade/weaken certain materials over a long period of time. We recommend that they are not place in the device.

What is UV-C light?
UV-C light is a short-wavelength, ultraviolet light that breaks apart germ DNA, leaving it unable to function or reproduce.

UV-C light is germicidal (UV-A and UV-B light are not)

How does UNIUVC work?
Simply place your smartphone or belongings into your UNIUVC and close the lid.

During the sanitation process, a powerful UV-C light is emitted, eliminating 99.99% of household germs.

This UV-C light effectively destroys nucleic acids and breaks apart bacteria DNA. With their DNA broken, bacteria can’t function or reproduce, and the organisms die.

In nature, the UV-C light that causes this germicidal effect is harmful to our eyes but is blocked by Earth’s atmosphere. In the UNIUVC’s controlled environment, UV-C light effectively and safely sanitizes anything that fits inside your UNIUVC.

How clean is my smartphone?
Whatever you touch, your phone touches too.

We can’t help touching dirty things - door handles, money, gym equipment, and the list goes on.

However, we touch our phones we then pass the bacteria from our hands to our devices. And it’s easy to wash our hands, but we NEVER wash our phones, which is why the average smartphone shows 18x more bacteria than a public restroom.

Your phone’s battery keeps it warm, and when it’s stored in warm, dark places like your pocket or purse, the bacteria multiply.

    Does UNIUVC kill COVID-19?
    Update:
UV-C radiation is a known disinfectant for air, water and surfaces that can help mitigate the risk of acquiring an infection and has been used extensively for more than 40 years. All bacteria and viruses tested to date (many hundreds over the years, including various coronaviruses) respond to UV-C disinfection.
In a recent study Center for Radiological Research, Columbia University Irving Medical Center, NatureResearch Scientific Reports have reported that there are indications that UVC light can inactivate the Coronavirus. Additionally, UVC light is better than the traditional UV light because far-UVC light potentially has about the same highly effective germicidal properties of UV light, but without the associated human health risks.

    Will my phone fit?

Our UNIUVC fit the largest smartphones in the market, including the iPhone 12 Pro Max and Samsung Note Plus.

Will UNIUVC damage my phone or devices?

UNIUVC is completely safe for your phone as it doesn't use heat, water or chemicals to sanitize your devices.

It uses UV-C light, which is completely safe for you and your gadgets. UV-C light can potentially cause damage with continuous, prolonged exposure to plastic. However, it would take many continuous hours of exposure to have this effect.

When you close the lid of the UNIUVC, the UV-C lights will turn on for 1 minute  and automatically shut off when done. It also automatically shuts off if device is tilted more than 50 degrees to prevent accidental exposure to eyes and unintended areas.

This is more than enough time to completely sanitize your phone and eliminate all the germs, but it is never enough time to damage your gadgets.

How long will the UV-C LED Lights last?

The UV-C LED Lights in our UNIUVC Sanitizer Box are made to last a minimum of 6,000 hours. With proper care, they can last for over 10,000 hours.

What other items can I sanitize?

UNIUVC will sanitize anything you put inside, including keys, makeup brushes, accessories, watches, jewelry, etc.

    Where do you ship from?
